Rachael is a former teacher turned cheesecake supremo. The Patisserie perfectionist with a passion
for farmers' markets is living her dream.
With 16 years' teaching experience then time spent working front of house in a Michelin starred restaurant, Rachael jumped at the opportunity to swap front of house for the chefs whites of the kitchen. Rachael spent over two years working in a kitchen supplying pattiserie for the shop and cafe. Getting the opportunity to work in the kitchen was fantastic, but it still was not enough for Rachael. There was no face to face customer feedback, and little interaction with the customer.
In July 2017 Rachael made the daring leap into self employment and The Busy Whisk was born.
Rachael wanted to launch her business at grassroots level. Farmers' markets boast some of the country's finest local food producers, giving The Busy Whisk a solid foundation on which to build. Plus it's a great way to meet customers and find out what they want. And we've had the most amazing support from our customers!
Received our order this morning, delivered by Bruce who’s always very polite, and I have to say Rachel has done it again! 2 Toffee apple crumble cheesecakes are in the freezer for later this week but I had the Toffee apple crumble tart with a cup of tea (immediately upon unpacking the delivery) and it was amazing ...... my favourite dessert of theirs! The lemon meringue tart was hastily demolished by my son. Great service, great product provided by lovely people.Recommendation. Jane Heatley. 9 August 2020
